2014-15: Named to the NABC Honor Court … played in 26 games with 25 starts … averaged 26.3 minutes per contest … led the Cru with 104 free throws in a .738 percentage from the line … shot .449 on the year (83-185) … ranked second on the team with 158 rebounds … added 22 assists and eight blocks. 2013-14: Played in all 26 games for the Cru … made 44 field goals for a .484 percentage … added 33 free throws for a .660 percentage at the line … brought down 89 rebounds with a 3.4 average … added 14 assists, eight blocks and four steals … totaled 121 points with a 4.7 scoring average. 2012-13: Played in 31 games … scored 100 points for a 3.4 scoring average … totaled 68 rebounds and eight blocks … Averaged 10.3 minutes per game.

Russell is a pre-physical therapy major at UMHB. He lettered in basketball at Klein Collins High School, where he was named academic all-district. Russell was also a member of Boy Scouts and the National Honor Society. He is the son of Bill and Lori Green.
