2018-19: D3Hoops.Com All-South Region … ASC All-Conference Team … First Team All-West Division … led the Cru in points (530), points per game (19.6), field goals (187), three-pointers (78), rebounds (185) and rebounds per game (5.6) … added 35 steals and 62 assists … scored 20+ points in 13 contests … recorded five double-doubles … had a season-high 35 points at Louisiana College (Jan. 5). 2017-18: Played in all 26 games for the Cru … made nine starts … totaled 313 points … shot .451 from the field … brought down 87 rebounds … added 37 assists and 29 steals … recorded season-high 23 points and 11 rebounds against Hardin-Simmons (Feb. 3).

Sam is a general studies major at UMHB. He participated in football, basketball, baseball and track and field at Nixon-Smiley High School, where he earned 11 varsity letters. Sam was a four-time all-district selection in basketball, three-time all-region honoree, two-time District MVP and two-time all-state selection. He also finished fourth in the high jump at the state track meet his sophomore, junior and senior season. Sam also earned awards in baseball and was named Most Outstanding Athlete. Sam is the son of George and Donna Moore.
