Biography

2024: Academic All-ASC… ASC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year … missed most of the season with an injury … scored goal against Concordia Texas (Aug. 30). 

2023: USC Third Team All-Region X … CSC Academic All-District Team … First Team All-ASC …   ASC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Team … Academic All-ASC … Played in 16 games … ranked second on the team with five goals scored … added two assists for 12 total points … put 16 of 31 shots on frame … scored game-winners against Austin College (Sept. 14) and Hardin-Simmons (Oct. 19).  

2022: Academic All-ASC … Played in 18 games … made eight starts as a forward … recorded four goals … added three assists with two against Sul Ross State (Oct. 6) … totaled 15 of 21 shots on frame … converted two penalty kicks. 

Alex is a business management major at UMHB. He played soccer at Lake Travis High School, where he was a four-year letter winner and two-time All-Centex Player of the Year. Alex was also a two-time TASCO first team all-state selection, 2022 6A All-Tournament team selection and a two-time district MVP. He also earned academic all-state and academic all-district honors. Alex was a member of the National Honor Society and is the son of Jason and Sarah Bethke.
