Biography
2013: Second Team All-ASC selection … ranked second in NCAA in blocks per set (1.42) … set new ASC record for block assists in a season (140) … ended the season with 194 total blocks (54 solo) … added 236 kills and 41 digs … ASC Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 8 and Oct. 29). 2012: Played in all 30 matches … led the Cru with 19 solo blocks and 80 block assists … added 143 kills.
Cheyenne is studying English at UMHB. She was the district defensive MVP at Hallettsville High School, where she was named academic all-state. Cheyenne was also a regional qualifier in the high jump and earned district MVP as a basketball player. She was also a member of FFA, SCOPE, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Spanish National Honor Society, Spanish Club and National Honor Society. Cheyenne is the daughter of James Dowdey and Will and Deanna Horton.
