Malik Shaheed joined the men's soccer coaching staff in July 2024.
Shaheed joined the Cru after playing professional soccer for two years in the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA), winning the league in 2023. Prior to playing professionally, he played collegiate soccer at both Lipscomb University and Biola University. Shaheed led Lipscomb in points for freshmen and led the team in points his junior season. He helped the Bisons to their first conference tournament championship and national tournament appearance in 2017. Malik also helped his team to both conference and regular-season titles in 2018 with an NCAA sectionals finish. At Biola, Shaheed served as team captain, leading the program to its first national tournament appearance. He also received a third team all-conference honor in his senior season.
Shaheed has previous experience working in professional soccer for Bay Cities FC and Flower City Union. He graduated from Lipscomb in 2020 with a degrees in Sport Management and Spanish. He also obtained his master’s degree in Public Relations with a specialization in Leadership in 2021 from Biola.
He is the son of Saudia Shaheed (1977-2020), grandson of Raycheal & Kalem Shaheed, and nephew of Lateefah Shaheed.
