Biography

2012: Played in six games for the Cru … took three shots.

Joel is studying graphic design at UMHB. He was a two-time all-county MVP and three-time all-district soccer player at Cleburne High School. Joel is the son of Hector and Sarai Salinas. 

Joel chose UMHB because the university provides good education, an appeasing environment and a solid soccer program. Joel’s favorite professional sports team is FC Barcelona and his favorite professional athlete is Lionel Messi. Joel says most people don’t know he enjoys Star Wars and could talk about computers forever. He credits his parents for always supporting him and having the biggest influence on him as a person and an athlete. Joel’s pre-game ritual is to call his father and pray with him over the phone.
