2018: Played in 16 games … scored goals against LeTourneau (Sept. 15) and Sul Ross State (Oct. 27) … added one assist against Louisiana College (Sept. 29) … totaled nine shots in 446 minutes played. 2017: Played in 18 games … totaled eight shots. 2016: Played in 16 games … scored game-winner at UT Tyler … totaled eight shots with four on goal.

Marcelo is a marketing major at UMHB. He was an all-district soccer player at Coppell High School where he helped his team to 6A Texas State Championship in 2016. Marcelo was also an academic all-state selection. He is the son of Horacio and Adriana Gaitan.
