2021: Academic All-ASC selection … played in 12 contests … made nine starts … scored a goal against McMurry (Oct. 21)… netted the game-winner against Concordia Texas (Oct. 29) … added an assist against Hardin-Simmons (Oct. 23) … totaled four shots. 2020c: Started all nine contests ... recorded assist against Howard Payne (March 14) ... totaled 772 minutes as a midfielder. 2019: Played in nine games ... scored two goals against Louisiana College (Oct. 19) ... totaled eight shots. 2018: Played in 10 games as a defender for the Cru.  
 
Sam is studying finance at UMHB. He was a three-time all-district soccer player at Wylie East High School, where he also earned academic all-state honors. Sam participated in Leo Club and Pals. He is the son of Greg and Debbie Wooding.
