Tyrus is studying business at UMHB. He played two years of varsity soccer at Waxahachie High School, where he was a two-time all-district selection and Offensive MVP. Tyrus also completed perfect attendance in high school and was a member of the A/B Honor Roll and coronation court. Tyrus is the son of Tyrus Lacey.
