Biography
Amari is studying psychology at UMHB. She competed in basketball, track, and tennis for four years at Canton High School, where she scored over 1,000 points. She was a four-time all-district selection, also earning All-East Texas and all-state awards. Amari was a four-time academic all-district honoree. She participated in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society, and Spanish Club in high school while also being a part of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society during her time at her previous university. Amari is the daughter of Nicole Welch.
