Haven Neal joined the UMHB women's basketball coaching staff as a full-time assistant coach on July 1, 2019. She returned to her alma mater after one year in the high school coaching ranks after a four-year playing career for the Cru. Neal graduated from UMHB in May of 2018 with a degree in mathematics. She spent last year teaching and coaching at Rogers High School. Neal was the varsity assistant women’s basketball coach and junior varsity head coach for the Eagles. She was a four-year letter winner for the Cru at forward and played for four ASC Tournament qualifiers during her career. Neal was an ASC All-West Division selection, a three-time ASC Academic All-Conference pick and took ASC West Division Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year honors twice in her time with the program. She is a native of Farmersville and is the daughter of Tina and Dale Neal.
