Biography
Kellie is a key member of the frontcourt rotation for the Cru and she should once again be one of the team’s top offensive and rebounding threats. 2008-09: Kellie was an Honorable Mention All-West Division selection and also earned Academic All-Conference honors. She played in all 27 games and started five, averaging 7.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Kellie added 21 steals and 20 assists and was second on the team with 30 blocked shots. She scored in double figures eight times with a season-high 19 points against U.T.-Tyler. Kellie also reached double figures in rebounding three times with a season-high 11 against McMurry. 2007-08: Kellie was an ASC Academic All-Conference selection and also earned a spot on the ASC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Team. She played in 27 games and started four. Kellie averaged 4.7 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. She added 12 assists and 10 steals and was second on the team with 25 blocked shots. Kellie scored a season-high 18 points against Howard Payne and grabbed a season-best 11 rebounds against Texas Lutheran. 2006-07: Kellie played in 24 games and averaged 3.1 points and 1.6 rebounds per game. She also added six assists and three steals and shot 51 per cent from the floor on the season. Kellie reached double figures twice, scoring 10 points against Concordia Texas and Howard Payne. High School: Kellie was an All-District and Academic All-District selection as a basketball player at New Braunfels High School. Personal: Kellie is the daughter of Cindy and David Thomas. She was born July 20, 1988 and is majoring in exercise and sport science at UMHB.
