2016-17: Played in 25 games for the Cru … totaled 123 points with 45 field goals and 33 free throws … added 89 rebounds for a 3.6 rebounds per game average … recorded eight assists, one block and 12 steals … scored a season-high 18 points against Louisiana College (Dec. 17).

Tashyra is undecided in her major at UMHB. She participated in volleyball, basketball and track and field at Navasota High School, where she was a three-time all-district selection, two-time all-region honoree and earned all-state honors her senior year. Tashyra was also an academic all-state honoree and participated in FCA Future. She is the daughter of Stacy Hester.
