2015-16: Played in 13 games … scored 28 points with five assists and one steal.

Tyra is studying exercise physiology at UMHB. She was a three-year basketball letter winner at Plano East Senior High, where she was a two-time all-district honoree, two-time academic all-district honoree and Offensive Player of the Year. Tyra was also a member of the American Sign Language Honor Society, Peer Assistance and Leadership Organization and served as a Special Olympics volunteer. Tyra is the daughter of Mitchell and Anita Gatson.
