Sydney is studying exercise physiology at UMHB and wants to become an occupational therapist. Sydney was a three-time all-district soccer player at Midlothian High School, where she was also named academic all-state and Defensive Player of the Year. Sydney was also a regional qualifier for the cross country team. She is the daughter of Johnny and Hope Rangel.
