Cru tennis alum Daniel White returned to his alma mater as the school’s new Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach in July of 2019. White led both programs to ASC regular season titles in 2026. The UMHB women won the 2026 American Southwest Conference Championship while the men finished as ASC Runners-Up.
The UMHB women won the regular season title in 2025 after winning the West Division title in 2024. White guided both programs to their first ASC postseason wins in 2023 with tournament berths in 2021 and 2022.
White joined UMHB after spending the previous three years as the Head Boys and Girls Tennis Coach at Vandergrift High School. The Vipers finished third in State in 2017 and were Regional Finalists in 2018 and 2016. White also earned 6-A Region Four Coach of the Year honors in 2017. His program qualified ten teams for the State Tournament during his tenure. White also served as a tennis professional at River Place Country Club and the Club at Sonterra. He was an assistant tennis professional and camp director at the Georgetown Tennis Center in his hometown. White spent one year as a business development manager for TRC Professional Solutions.
White graduated from Mary Hardin-Baylor in December 2011 with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science. He was a four-year letterman for the Cru tennis team and served as team captain for three of those seasons. White was a three-time ASC All-West Division selection in his playing career and the Cru also advanced to the ASC Championship Tournament in two of his four seasons on campus. White and his wife, Cami, have two daughters, Elliett and Camdyn.
