Biography
2016: All-ASC Team … First Team All-West Division … led the Cru with 142 blocks … added 266 kills for a 2.35 kills per set average … hit a season-high 15 kills against McMurry (Oct. 4) … blocked a season-high 11 balls at Concordia Texas (Sept. 30). 2015: Played in 80 sets for the Cru … totaled 140 kills on 337 attacks … ranked third on the team with 80 blocks … added 17 digs … hit a match-high 11 kills against U.T.-Tyler (Oct. 17).
Maddie is studying exercise physiology at UMHB and hopes to become a coach at the high school or collegiate level. She was a four-time all-state volleyball player at Brackett High School, where she also earned Newcomer of the Year, District Offensive Player of the Year and District MVP honors twice. Maddie was also an all-area basketball player, regional qualifier in track and all-district softball player. She was also named academic all-state selection in volleyball and basketball. Maddie also participated in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Farmers of America, 4-H, National Honor Society and Student Council. She is the daughter of Mark and Amanda Frerich.
