Volleyball beats Schreiner 3-1

Box Score Seguin, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volleyball team rallied from an opening-set loss to keep its winning streak alive with a four-set victory over Schreiner University Saturday in Seguin. UMHB has now won seven straight and 10 of its last 11 matches to improve to 11-3 overall and 6-1 in American Southwest Conference play.
 
UMHB rallied for a 17-25, 25-17, 25-20, 31-29 victory over the Mountaineers. Kaydie Cochran led the Cru with 16 kills and Tina Miller added 13 more. Sophia Alexiou chipped in with 12 kills. Morgan Baker had 10 kills and 18 digs for the Cru. Anissa Garcia added 54 assists and 13 digs. Elise Butler had a team-high 19 digs and Jasmine Austin also reached double figures with 16 digs for UMHB.
 
UMHB will close out the first ASC Dig Pink Crossover Challenge with a 5:30 PM match against tournament host Texas Lutheran University this afternoon. The Cru will then travel to Tyler next weekend for the second crossover weekend of the season.
