Box Score Marshall, TX— The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volleyball team kept its hot streak going as the Cru rolled to a three-set victory over East Texas Baptist University Friday night in Marshall. UMHB posted a 25-23, 25-15, 27-25 win over the Tigers to move to 7-3 overall and 2-1 in American Southwest Conference play with the win. UMHB has also won three matches in a row and six of its last seven.
Anissa Garcia had 30 assists for the Cru and was one of four players to reach double figures in digs for UMHB.
Jasmine Austin and
Elise Butler had 10 digs apiece and
Morgan Baker led the way with 16 digs.
Sophia Alexiou had a team-best 12 kills and
Kimberly Smidovec added 11 kills. UMHB out-hit ETBU .200 to .126 in the victory. The Cru also had four service aces in the win.
UMHB will return to action with a 2:00 PM match at LeTourneau University tomorrow in Longview. The Cru will then return home to host Mississippi College next Thursday at 6:00 PM.
