BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team beat East Texas Baptist University 3-0 Saturday evening in Belton. The win improved the Cru to 11-3-1 overall and 8-1-0 in American Southwest Conference action while the Tigers fell to 5-6-4 overall and 3-4-2 in league play.
Kat Parker opened scoring for UMHB, beating the goalie one-on-one with a cross to the far right corner for the 1-0 advantage in the 30
th minute. UMHB held the 1-0 advantage until the 50
th minute when
Taylor Marques scored off an assist from
Allison Porter. Parker added one more insurance goal in the 82
nd with an assist from
Amanda Carlough, putting UMHB up 3-0. Parker led the Cru with seven shots followed by Marques with three and Freberg with two.
Courtney Craig earned the shutout win for the Cru while Karrigan Falber took the loss for ETBU.
UMHB returns to action Thursday, October 27
th in a 1 p.m. game at University of the Ozarks in Clarksville.
