CLARKSVILLE, Ark. - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team fought back from a three-goal deficit to tie University of the Ozarks before being edged 4-3 in overtime by the Eagles Thursday afternoon in Clarksville. The win improved Ozarks to 10-4-3 on the season and 4-3-1 in league play while the Cru fell to 10-5-1 overall and 6-2-1 in American Southwest Conference action.
Ozarks jumped to an early lead thanks to back-to-back goals from Alex Ross in the 8
th and 10
th minutes. Matt Samaniego added one more goal for the Eagles in the 17
th minute, putting Ozarks up 3-0 for the majority of the first half.
Martin Lopez responded for UMHB in the 45
th minute with a goal to cut the lead to just two goals.
Case Carnes added a goal in the 54
th minute with an assist by
McKenna Cook before Lopez added another mark in the 78
th minute to even the contest at three goals apiece. Neither team was able to score until the first overtime period until Bryce Young gave the Eagles an overtime game-winning goal in the 95
th minute.
Carnes, Cook and Lopez led the Cru with three shots each as UMHB totaled 18 in the contest. UMHB's defense limited the Eagles to just seven shots and four on goal while the Cru put 12 shots on goal.
Javier Zaragoza took the loss for UMHB, allowing four goals in 95 minutes of action. Luis Mena earned the win for the Eagles, making nine saves with three goals allowed in the full overtime contest.

th in a 7:30 p.m. match at the University of Texas at Tyler.
