BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team dominated McMurry University Friday night in Belton, beating the War Hawks 9-0. UMHB improved to 8-4-0 on the season and 4-1-0 in American Southwest Conference action while McMurry fell to 3-6-2 overall and 2-2-2 in league play.
UMHB scored six goals in 12 minutes of play to take a big lead over the War Hawks.
Logan Keeler opened the scoring with a converted penalty kick in the 32
nd minute, followed by a goal from
Jason Goodin in the 34
th minute.
Oliver Ortiz scored in 35
th minute with an assist from
Elijah Simpson before Keeler assisted three consecutive goals scored by
Martin Lopez,
Caleb Vandergriff and Ortiz in the 39

nd and 44
th minutes, respectively.
Daniel Santa added UMHB's seventh goal in the 48
th minute of play followed by Ortiz's third goal in the 65
th minute.
Amani Colbert added another mark on the board for UMHB scoring off an assist from
Eduardo Guerra in the 73
rd minute to give UMHB the 9-0 win.
Ortiz led the Cru with three goals while Keeler had three assists.
Elijah Simpson and Eduardo also added assists for the Cru. Keeler had a team-high four shots followed by Ortiz with three. UMHB totaled 27 shots with 13 on goal while the War Hawks had two shots.
Javier Zaragoza earned the win in the net for UMHB while Alex Chavez took the loss for the War Hawks.
