ABILENE, Texas– The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team fell 3-0 to No. 6 Hardin-Simmons University Saturday afternoon in Abilene. The win improved the Cowgirls to 15-0 on the season and 11-0 in American Southwest Conference action. UMHB fell to 13-2-1 overall and 9-1-1 in league play.
Kenne Kessler scored the game-winner for the Cowgirls in the 41
st minute off an assist from Rachel Bean. Kirsten Parrish added an insurance goal in the 76
th minute followed by Hardin-Simmons' final goal from Taylor Bernal in the 89
th minute.
Autumn Dunnam recorded the lone shot for UMHB.
Emmy McMaude took the loss for the Cru, allowing three goals with three saves. Caitlin Christiansen earned the win for the Cowgirls, making one save in the shutout win.
UMHB returns to action in the regular-season finale on Thursday, October 26
th in a 7 p.m. match against Sul Ross State University at the UMHB Soccer Fields in Belton.
