SAN ANTONIO, Texas– The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor swept Texas Lutheran University 3-0 Friday afternoon at the Trinity University Invitational in San Antonio. The win improved the Cru to 24-2 on the season while the Bulldogs fell to 16-13 this year.
 
UMHB won straight 25-21, 25-20, 25-15 sets to take the 3-0 lead. Miranda Klein led the Cru with 13 kills while Madison Welch added eight. Natasha Evans recorded a match-high 27 assists as UMHB hit .314 in the contest. Defensively, Klein led with 13 kills while Natasha Evans added 12 and three other Crusaders recorded 10. UMHB limited the Bulldogs to just 29 kills on 106 attacks for a .123 percentage. Sarah Paolini was the leading blocker for the Cru, putting up three solo blocks and one block assist as UMHB totaled seven in the contest.
 
UMHB returns to action in the Trinity University Invitational with a pair of matches on Saturday, October 28^th. UMHB will open against Schreiner University at 1:30 p.m. before facing tournament-host Trinity at 4 p.m.
