RICHARDSON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team played a hard-fought match with the University of Texas at Dallas Thursday evening in Richardson, giving up a goal in the final minutes to take a 1-0 loss. UMHB moved to 6-3-2 overall and 5-1 in American Southwest Conference action while the Comets improved to 11-0 overall and 5-0 in league play.
The first half played scoreless as the Comets outshot the Cru 6-2. The game remained scoreless until the 88
th minute when Keely Fillman broke the drought, scoring from 10 yards out to put the Comets up 1-0.
Chelsea Graham led the Cru with three shots while
Madison Link added two. UMHB totaled seven shots and put three of those on goal.
Emmy McMaude took the loss for UMHB, making three saves and giving up one goal. Monica Dallacasa earned the win for the Comets, making three saves in the shutout.
UMHB returns to action on Saturday, October 6
th in a 1 p.m. match at Howard Payne University in Brownwood.
