ALPINE, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball team gave up four multi-run innings and Sul Ross scored in seven of its eight at-bats as the Cru lost to the Lobos 20-1 Friday night in Alpine. The Lobos jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Hunter McQuary's RBI single pulled the Cru to within 5-1 in the top of the second, but Sul Ross dominated from there. The Lobos scored two in the bottom of the second, seven in the bottom of the fourth, three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and tacked on single runs in the bottom of the sixth, seventh and eighth frames for a 20-1 advantage. UMHB put a couple of runners on base in the top of the ninth, but could not close the gap.
