TYLER, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team edged Puget Sound 2-1 in a double overtime contest Friday night in Tyler.
The game remained scoreless until the 63
rd minute when
Seth Neveloff scored off an assist from
Jason Goodin. Puget Sound added the equalizer with eight minutes remaining in regulation when Luke Murdock scored off an assist from Skye Guegan. The game stayed knotted through regulation and the first overtime period. UMHB outshot Puget Sound 2-1 in the first overtime.
Jack Coad netted the Cru's game-winner and his first collegiate goal in the 103
rd minute, scoring off a corner kick to give UMHB the win.
Patrick Roach led the Cru with six shots followed by Coad with four. UMHB outshot UPS 25-5 in the contest, putting 11 shots on goal.
Travis Aday earned the win in the goal for the Cru, playing the full double-overtime contest. Wren Norwood took the loss for UPS, allowing two goals with nine saves.
