PINEVILLE, La. – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team used an offensive surge in the second half to earn a 3-0 win over Louisiana College Saturday afternoon in Pineville.
Chelsea Graham netted the game-winner for the Cru in the 59
th minute, scoring an unassisted goal for a 1-0 Cru advantage.
Dannah Fritschle followed that with back-to-back goals in the 70
th and 71
st minutes to give the Cru a 3-0 win.
Dannah Fritschle led the Cru with eight shots and put all eight shots on goal. Graham followed that with five as UMHB totaled 17 shots in the match and 13 on frame. Fritschle led the Cru with two goals while Graham added one goal and one assist.
Emmy McMaude earned the win in the net for the Cru, playing 77 minutes with two saves.
Gracen Green finished the contest for the Cru, playing 13 shutout minutes. Chasity Som took the loss for the Wildcats, giving up three goals and making 10 saves. UMHB limited the Wildcats to just two shots in the contest.
The Cru improved to 9-5-1 on the season and 7-1-0 in American Southwest Conference action, while Louisiana College fell to 11-1-1 overall and 0-8-0 in league play. UMHB returns to action on Thursday, October 24
th in a 5 p.m. contest at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene.
