ABILENE, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team was edged 1-0 by Hardin-Simmons University Monday evening in Abilene.
Madelyn Dowell scored the game-winner in the 43
rd minute for the Cowgirls. UMHB limited the Cowgirls to just 10 shots in the contest and only five on frame.
Grace Greenly led UMHB with four shots as the Cru recorded 12 shots with two on goal.
Emmy McMaude took the loss for the Cru, making four saves with one goal allowed. Kayla Gable earned the win for Hardin-Simmons, making two saves with no goals allowed.
UMHB fell to 10-6-1 overall and 8-2-0 in American Southwest Conference action while the Cowgirls improved to 13-2-1 on the season and 10-0 in league play. UMHB returns to action on Friday, November 1
st in a 5 p.m. match at Concordia University Texas in Round Rock.
