Women’s Soccer edges Ozarks in overtime

CLARKSVILLE, Ark – Dannah Fritschle gave the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team a 1-0 win against University of the Ozarks Saturday, scoring the game-winning goal in overtime.
 
Fritschle netted the game-winner in the 106th minute, scoring off an assist from Chelsea Graham to put the Cru up 1-0. UMHB outshot the Eagles 24-8 in the contest, putting 14 shots on goal and not surrendering a shot during overtime. Fritschle and Graham led the Cru with five shots each and both put four of those on frame. Kiara Henry made 13 saves in goal for the Eagles, but took the loss with one goal allowed in the full 106 minute contest. Emmy McMaude earned the shutout for the Cru, making six saves in the match.
 
UMHB improved to 5-5-1 on the season and 3-1-0 in American Southwest Conference play while the Eagles fell to 5-3-3 overall and 1-2-0 in league action. The Cru returns to play on Thursday, October 10th in a 5 p.m. match against Howard Payne University at the UMHB Soccer Fields in Belton.
