BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team edged Belhaven University 1-0 Tuesday evening in Belton to advance to the semifinal round of the American Southwest Conference Women's Soccer Championship Tournament.
Chandler Jackson scored the game-winner for the Cru in the 59
th minute, sailing a shot from 33 yards out for the score. UMHB totaled seven shots in the contest with two on frame.
Maria Rico led UMHB with four shots, followed by Jackson with two and
Kristen Burdick with one. Belhaven totaled two shots with Lauren Samford and Alysia Terry both putting their shots on frame.
UMHB returns to action in the American Southwest Conference Semifinals on Friday, November 5
th. The Cru will face Concordia Texas at 8 p.m. on the campus of Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene.
