ABILENE, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin Baylor women's soccer team punched their ticket to the American Southwest Conference Women's Soccer Final with a 1-0 win over Concordia University Texas Friday night in Abilene.
Chandler Jackson scored the game-winner for the Cru in the 25
th minute, finding the back of the net on an assist from
Maria Rico. UMHB held on to that lead through regulation to secure their spot in the championship.
Mackenzie Worthy led the Cru with three shots while the Cru totaled 12 in the match. UMHB put eight shots on frame and allowed the Tornados just three total shots in the contest.
Reagan Williams earned the shutout in goal for the Cru, making two saves in a full 90-minute contest.
UMHB advances to the championship match and will face tournament-host Hardin-Simmons University on Sunday, November 7
th at 1 p.m. in Abilene.
