BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Women's Soccer Team finally saw the field again Wednesday evening, earning a 3-0 win over Concordia Texas to open the 2020-2021 season.
Grace Greenly gave UMHB the lead in the 17
th minute, capitalizing on a pass from
Zoe Elledge.
Annika Engstrom added another goal for the Cru in the 29
th minute, giving UMHB a 2-0 lead after the first half with an assist from
Kelsey White.
Maria Rico was the final Crusader to score, netting an unassisted goal in the 62
nd minute for the Cru's third score.
Greenly led the Cru with six shots while four other Crusaders added two each. UMHB totaled 17 shots with eight on frame. Concordia Texas totaled five shots, putting just one on mark.
The Cru returns to action on Monday, March 1
st in a 1 p.m. match at Sul Ross State University in Alpine.
