ALPINE, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team played a hard-fought match at Sul Ross State University Monday evening in Alpine, ending in a scoreless draw with the Lobos. UMHB moved to 2-0-1 on the season and opened American Southwest Conference action and 0-0-1 while the Lobos moved to 1-0-1 overall and 1-0-1 in league play.
The match saw 36 total fouls with 26 total shots. UMHB put seven of their 12 shots on frame and blocked the Lobos' eight on-frame attempts.
Patrick Roach led the Cru with five shots while
Seth Neveloff,
Brody Conley and
Bode Bleamaster each added two.
Ethan Rimbey and
Dalton Lloyd split time in the goal for the Cru. Rimbey went 45 minutes with four saves while Lloyd finished the contest and made three saves.
UMHB returns to action on Friday, March 5
th in a 6:30 p.m. match against McMurry University at the UMHB Soccer Field in Belton.
