BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's tennis team knocked off St. Thomas 7-2 Tuesday afternoon in Belton. Katy Beach and Sofia Sanchez rallied and won the last three sets to grab a 9-7 win at #2 doubles for the Cru. UMHB then swept through singles at 2-5, getting wins from Beach, Sanchez, Victoria Rendon and Alondra Torres Diaz. The Celts were also play with just five players in the line-up, so UMHB also added default wins at #3 doubles and #6 singles.
 
The Cru women improve to 6-4 on the spring with the win. They will close out the regular season with a home conference match against Hardin-Simmons University at 1 pm on Saturday. UMHB has already clinched a berth in the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament.
