BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team earned a 4-0 win over Austin College Saturday evening in Belton. The win improved the Cru to 5-1 on the season while Austin College fell to 1-4.
Grace Greenly finished a pass from
Maria Rico for UMHB's first score in the16th minute.
Kristen Burdick put the Cru ahead by two at the 27:00 mark, scoring on a corner kick from
Carly Van Essen. The Cru totaled nine shots in the first half with five on frame, limiting the Roos to just one shot in the first half.
Greenly found the back of the net again in the 48
th minute, scoring off an assist from
Brynna Gardner then assisted a
Mackenzie Worthy goal in the 63
rd minute.
Greenly and Rico led the Cru with four shots each while Greenly put three shots on frame. UMHB totaled 20 shots in the contest with 13 on goal and did not allow a shot in the second half.
UMHB opens American Southwest Conference this week with a pair of road matches at East Texas Baptist University and LeTourneau University.
