MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team dropped a heartbreaker to No. 9 Messiah College Saturday evening in Mechanicsburg, surrendering a double-overtime goal to the Falcons in the 1-0 loss.
Both teams totaled 18 shots in the match with eight in each regulation period and two overtime marks. UMHB put five shots on frame and allowed Messiah just seven.

Patrick Roach and
Ethan Dacaret each led with four shots while Roach put two of his on frame.
Reid Ruark was the hero in front of 1,500 fans at the 106:15 mark when he headed in a corner kick from Cole Cristian for the 1-0 Falcon win.
Dalton Lloyd played the full contest in the net for the Cru, making five saves with the lone goal allowed. Jared Pavlovich earned the win for Messiah, matching Lloyd's five saves.
Messiah went 4-0 last season and held an 18-3-2 mark in 2019. UMHB returns to action on Monday, September 6
th in a 7 p.m. (ET) match at No. 18 Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa.
