MARSHALL, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team shutout East Texas Baptist University 3-0 Saturday afternoon in Marshall. The Cru improved to 5-1-2 on the season and 1-0-1 in league play while the Tigers fell to 5-4-1 overall and 0-2 in American Southwest Conference action.
UMHB used a score by

Nick Villanueva assist in the 31
st minute of action to take the lead. The Cru used a
Brody Conley goal in the 50
th minute to bring the advantage to two. UMHB secured the 3-0 victory with a score in the 66
th minute with an
Alex Bethke goal.
The Cru outshot the Tigers 28-7 with nine on frame.
Ethan Dacaret,
Jack Bryan and
Brody Conley all led UMHB with four shots each while Bethke and
Ben Platt both added three.
Dalton Lloyd pitched the shutout in goal for the Cru, making three saves in the full 90-minute contest.
