RICHARDSON, Texas - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team scored a trio of unanswered goals on UT Dallas Thursday evening in Richardson. UMHB improved to 8-1-2 overall and 4-0-1 in American Southwest Conference action while the Comets fell to 5-4-3 on the season and 1-2-1 in league play.
Ethan Dacaret gave the Cru an early lead, scoring a goal off a
Patrick Roach assist in the 10
th minute of action for the advantage. UMHB held that one-goal lead through the half as goalkeeper
Dalton Lloyd made six saves.
Jack Bryan scored an insurance goal for the Cru in the 70
th minute off a double assist from Roach and
Keven Daniel before
Karsen Macias scored on a Lloyd assist in the 87
th minute for the 3-0 win.
UT Dallas outshot the Cru 17-10 in the contest, putting 11 shots on frame. Goalkeeper
Dalton Lloyd made 10 saves to preserve the shutout for the Cru.
Jack Bryan led the Cru with three shots, followed by
Ethan Dacaret and
Brody Conley with two each. UMHB put five of 10 shots on frame in the contest.
The Cru returns to action on Saturday, October 15
th in a 3:30 p.m. contest at University of the Ozarks in Clarksville.
