CLARKSVILLE, Arkansas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team beat University of the Ozarks 3-1 Saturday afternoon in Clarksville. The Cru improved to 9-1-2 overall and 5-0-1 in league play while the loss dropped the Eagles to 8-2-4 on the season and 2-1-2 in American Southwest Conference action.
UMHB claimed the first score late in the first half with a
Keven Daniel goal off an assist from
Sawyer Young. The Cru brought their advantage to three with a goal by
Karsen Macias in the 48
th minute, followed by an
Ethan Dacaret score from a
Nick Villanueva assist just two minutes later. The Eagles cut into the Cru's lead with a penalty kick goal in the 66
th minute, but UMHB held them to one, securing the 3-1 win.
The Cru totaled 11 shots led by
Patrick Roach with five. Dacaret and Macias both added two shots each.
Dalton Lloyd, spent all 90 minutes in the frame, recording three saves, including one on a penalty kick attempt.
The Cru returns to action Thursday, October 20
th in a 7:30 p.m. contest against McMurry University in Belton.
