ROUND ROCK, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team dropped a 5-1 decision to Concordia University Texas Saturday in Round Rock.
Antonio Rios gave the Tornados a lead in the ninth minute, scoring on a double-assist before Carlos Huato made the deficit two in the 18
th minute. Melvin Molina added another goal in the first half to put the Tornados up by three. Concordia Texas put up seven shots in the first half and limited the Cru to just three.
Theo Givens added a fourth goal for the Tornados in the 51
st minute before
Ethan Dacaret found the back of the net on a
Brody Conley assist to put the Cru on the board at the 53:19 mark. The Tornados added one more goal to secure the 5-1 victory.
UMHB totaled eight shots in the contest with six on frame. Dacaret led the Cru with two shots while six other Crusaders added one each.
Dalton Lloyd played the full 90 minutes in goal, making four saves.
The Cru returns to action next week in the 2022 American Southwest Conference Men's Soccer Championship Tournament. The Cru earned a first-round bye and will open play on Thursday, November 3
rd.
