CONWAY, Ark. – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team earned its fifth consecutive win with a 1-0 decision over Hendrix College Friday evening in Conway. The win improved the Cru to 5-0 on the season while the Warriors fell to 4-1.
Breland Mungia scored the game-winner for the Cru, finding the back of the net off an assist from
Maria Rico in the 62
nd minute. UMHB totaled 34 shots in the contest, led by
Mackenzie Worthy with seven. Rico added five shots with three on frame as 13 different Crusaders recorded shots. UMHB put a total of 16 shots on frame as the Cru defense completed a full shutout of Hendrix, not allowing a single shot.
UMHB returns to action in a 7 p.m. match on Saturday, September 17
th at Belhaven University in Jackson, Miss.
