HOUSTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team fell to St. Thomas University Saturday evening in Houston. The Cru fell to a 1-1- record on the season while the Celts improved to 2-0 overall.
St. Thomas took an early lead with a goal in the 16
th minute followed by a second score in the 29
th. The Celts added on two more in the middle of the second half to extend the lead to 4-0. The Cru got on the board in the 69
th minute with a goal by
Karsen Macias. UMHB was unable to overcome the deficit, finishing the contest down 1-4.
The Cru totaled four shots with one each from
Daniel Lyon,
Jack Bryan,
Peyton Hoyt and Macias. UMHB goalkeeper,
Dalton Lloyd totaled five saves.
UMHB returns to action September 10
th at 7:00 P.M. in a contest against Our Lady of the Lake University in Belton.
