BELTON, Texas - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volleyball team earned its 20
th sweep of the season in a 3-0 win over Concordia University Texas Tuesday evening in Belton. The win improved the Cru to 24-1 on the season and 12-1 in American Southwest Conference action while the Tornados moved to 1-20 overall and 1-12 in league play.

UMHB used a four-point run to pull away in the first set. The Tornados kept it close before UMHB used another 4-0 run to go up 17-9. Concordia Texas pulled within five but UMHB held on for the 25-22 first-set win.

The Cru opened the second set with a 9-4 lead before pulling away at 20-12. UMHB allowed the Tornados just five more points from there, cruising to a 25-17 win.

Concordia Texas scored the first point of the third set but UMHB fought back, taking a five-point lead at 8-3. The Cru used an 8-1 lead halfway through to go up by 10 points, sealing the 20
th sweep of the season with a 25-11 third-set decision.

Katie Warden led the Cru with 11 kills while
Hannah Frasca added nine. UMHB totaled 37 kills on 97 attacks for a .278 percentage in the match.
Kendall Harrington and
Ella Brunson split time setting, combining for 31 total assists. Defensively, Frasca led the Cru with 12 digs followed by
Maddie Gillispie with 11.
Dravyn Hurd and
Natalie Hughes led defensive efforts at the net, totaling four blocks each while
Cameron Pesek added three to the Cru's 17 total blocks.

UMHB returns to action on Friday, October 27
th in a 6 p.m. match against University of Texas at Dallas at the Mayborn Campus Center in Belton.
