BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team earned a three-goal victory over Howard Payne University Thursday night in Belton. The win improved the Cru to 7-6-2 on the season and 4-0-1 in American Southwest Conference action while the Yellow Jackets fell to 0-12-4 overall and 0-6-1 in league play.
Karsen Macias gave the Cru an early lead, scoring an unassisted goal in the 13
th minute. The Cru held that lead through the frame, outshooting the Yellow Jackets 12-3 in the half.
Carter Simpson led the Cru with three shots in the frame while Macias and
Aidan Aguilera each added two.
Nicholas Arellano added an insurance goal for the Cru in the 70
th minute, one-touching a pass from Macias for a two-goal margin.
Sawyer Young tacked one more goal in the 76
th minute, finding the bottom left corner of the goal for a 3-0 lead.

Karsen Macias led the Cru with five shots each while
Sawyer Young and
Aidan Aguilera each added three. UMHB totaled 26 shots in the contest, putting 12 on frame.
Hayden Owens recorded the win in the net for the Cru, playing the full 90 minutes with four saves.

th in a 7:30 p.m. contest against Hardin-Simmons University at the UMHB Soccer Field in Belton.
