BELTON, Texas - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team earned a 3-1 win over East Texas Baptist University Thursday evening in Belton. The win improved the Cru to 11-3-2 on the season and 5-2 in American Southwest Conference action while the Tigers fell to 5-9-1 on the season and 3-5 in league play.

ETBU took an early lead off an own-goal in the 12th minute. The Tigers held that lead until the 24th minute when
Natalie Mason beelined a shot into the bottom left of the net to knot the game at one each. That tie held until the 43rd minute when
Alyssa Andana hit the low right corner off a pass from
Ella Ruff to give the Cru their first lead of the contest.Â

UMHB totaled 13 shots in the first half, led by
Kelsey White with five. White also put four shots on frame as three other Crusaders each added one.

Kennedy Harris added a goal in the 80th minute to extend the lead to three and held on for the win.Â

UMHB totaled 29 shots in the contest, putting 17 on frame.
Breland Mungia and White each added five shots while
Kennedy Harris and
Natalie Mason both added four. The Cru defense did not allow a single shot in the win.Â

UMHB returns to action on Saturday, November 2nd in a 5 p.m. contest at LeTourneau University in Longview.Â
