BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team scored three first-half goals en route to a season opening 6-1 feat Friday evening in Belton.
Natalie Mason jump started the scoring with a goal in the 15
th minute.
Kaitlynn Neill followed shortly after with a goal in the 22
nd minute.
Kamryn Taylor closed the first half in the 40
th minute with another score to put the Cru ahead 3-0. UMHB totaled six shots in the first half and held the Pirates to just two.
Breland Mungia began the first half with a shot reaching the back of the goal in the 66
th minute.
Trinity Hoffmann followed with a goal in the 71
st minute off an assist from
Morgen Rathmell. The Pirates answered back with a 79
th minute goal by Jackie Powell.
Alyssa Andana finished off with the final goal of the game in the 89
th minute.

Ainsley Westlake earned the win in the net making three saves.
Alyssa Andana led the Cru with three shots as UMHB outshot the Pirates 13-4 in the contest. UMHB put 10 total shots on frame.
The Cru will be back in action on Monday, September 2
nd at 7:00 PM in Round Rock where they will face Concordia Texas.
