Men’s Soccer falls to UT Dallas

BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team dropped a two-goal decision to UT Dallas Saturday night in Belton. The loss dropped the Cru to 3-5-1 on the season while the Comets improved to 5-1-1 on the year.
 
The Comets led early with goals in the 12th minute and the 30th minute for two-goal margin at the half. UT Dallas outshot the Cru 5-4 in the half, putting four shots on frame.
 
UMHB outshot the Comets 2-0 in the first 40 minutes of the second half. The Comets pressed late in the half evening the shot count at two but a big save from Hayden Owens kept them scoreless in the frame.
 
Six different Crusaders recorded shots in the contest while Carter Simpson put one on frame. Ethan Hilliard and Hayden Owens split time in the net with Hilliard totaling two saves and Owens adding one.
 
The Cru returns to action on Thursday, October 3rd in a 7:30 p.m. contest at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene.
