Women’s Soccer draws tie against McMurry

BELTON, Texas – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer drew a 0-0 tie against McMurry Thursday evening in Belton. This tie moves the Cru's record to 6-4-6 on the season, while the War Hawks' record shifts to 7-3-5.

Kendall Hiatt added the first shot on frame of the match in the 27th minute but was denied in the net. Peyton Floyd followed in the 34th minute with one of her own. The Cru added four shots in the half while McMurry added just one, as the game remained scoreless through the first half.

The Cru defense held the War Hawks back, not allowing any shots in the second half until the final 15 seconds of play. Four Crusaders added one shot on goal each, but all were saved by the War Hawks goalkeeper, finalizing the game with a 0-0 draw.

UMHB outshot McMurry 13-2 on the night, with the Cru adding seven on goal to the War Hawks' zero. Chloe Murr and Abigail Hickman led the Crusader offense with three shots each. Aubrey Tipton spent all 90 minutes in the net but wasn't served any shots on goal to defend.

UMHB returns to action at home on Saturday, October 25th in a 5:00pm match against East Texas Baptist. The 2025 Cru Women's Soccer seniors will be honored at half time of the following men's game.
