BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team lost in overtime in the American Southwest Conference Championship match 1-0 to Hardin-Simmons University Saturday in Belton.
Hardin-Simmons outshot the Cru 9-5 in the first half, putting three shots on frame. The Cru put 10 shots up to the Cowgirls' 15 in the second half.

Aubrey Tipton made a huge save in the 85
th minute, keeping a penalty kick out of the net to keep the Cru in the game. The second half remained scoreless as the contest went into overtime at 0-0.
Lexi Templin scored the game-winner for the Cowgirls 26 seconds into halftime, scoring off a ricocheted shot for the win.
Aubrey Tipton made nine saves in the contest for the Cru.
Audrey Harlien led the Cru with five shots while
Gracie Ruthven and
Abigail Hickman each added two.
Tipton, Harlien and
Malyn Martinson were all named to the ASC All-Tournament team. Hardin-Simmons will return to action in the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship Tournament with the bracket to be released on Monday, November 10
th.
